The pine beetle outbreak remains one of the most talked about issues facing the state of Montana today. What would our mountains look like if the forests disappeared? Researcher Diana Six from the University of Montana enlightens us on the experiments being done to curb the torrent of pine beetles overrunning the forests around Montana and turning the hillsides red. Reporter Brittany Wooley and I took a hike through the woods to learn what conservation methods are working to keep the beetles at bay.
